“I’ve never felt like I truly belonged anywhere”
I’ve never felt like I truly belonged anywhere, from a young age I’ve moved from home to home and I never stayed in a town or city for longer than a year. Because of this, I tried to be all things to all people; being whatever the environment called me to be.
‘There is just too much noise’
It’s more difficult for young people to find God in today’s world. There is just too much noise. Whether it’s notifications from Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or managing several What’s app conversations; It’s hard to find God amidst all these distractions.
‘What am I waiting for?’
I first thought about getting baptised whilst praying with a group of guys at Church. The presence of God was so strong, 2 hours felt like 20 mins.
“God changed my heart, He had a higher calling for my life”
When I look at the things God has done and what he has brought me through it usually brings me to tears. I am currently a Worship Leader at one of the biggest church’s in Europe. A dream job, dream career and dream lifestyle. 11-12 years ago I was homeless, in trouble with police, hanging with the wrong crowd selling and taking drugs, getting drunk every other weekend – the list is endless.
“I ended up getting in trouble with the law for a firearm offence at the age of 14”
Have you ever wanted to become someone that you’re not as a kid? Have you every wanted to create a new identity that everyone liked, which ended up being a false identity, which self-destructed? Yeah, I was that kid.
